The 2019 Met Gala was an absolute success and the outfits of all celebrities in attendance was overly exaggerating. The event has proven to be more than just glitz and glam, in a recent record, the 2019 Met Gala is said to have raised a whooping 15 million dollars for charity.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was filled, Monday night with so many celebrities for the Met Gala which according to the event’s reps raised $15 million for charity, this was way higher than the $13 million raised last year.

The Met Gala is the museum’s main source of annual funding for exhibitions, publications, acquisitions and capital improvements. This year’s theme was called “Camp: Notes on Fashion” to honor writer Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay, “Notes on Camp” about society broadening its attitudes toward sexuality … particularly homosexuality.

In attendance were actors, actresses, musicians, producers, directors, models, tv reality stars and so many more. The event was indeed packed and so many notable outfits were seen on the red carpet.

Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Serena Williams and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour co-chaired the event. The first MET Gala was held in 1948 but became glamourous in 1973 when the former Vogue editor Diana Vreeland became a consultant and transformed it
