Liverpool have tabled a five-year deal to Lille star Nicolas Pepe.

The Daily Star says Liverpool have upped their pursuit of Pepe by tabling a €80M (£71m) bid for the talented winger.

Liverpool are one of several clubs keen on the 24-year-old attacker with Arsenal and Manchester United also keeping tabs on the player.

But it seems the Reds have moved ahead of their rivals in the race to his signature with Gazzetto dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira claiming a five-year deal has now been put forward to the Ivory Coast international with Jurgen Klopp keen on securing his first summer signing.

“Liverpool want to close Nicolas Pepe," Schira tweeted.

“Klopp has offered €80M to Lille and for him to contract until 2024 (€3M plus bonus at year)."
