Lyon fullback Ferland Mendy is set to undergo a Real Madrid medical in Paris.

Marca reports the 23-year-old will go through the medical proceedings while Real Madrid and Lyon finalise the transfer.

New Lyon sporting director Juninho Pernambucano has given the green light for Mendy to move to the Santiago Bernabeu while Tanguy Ndombele and Nabil Fekir will also leave the club this summer.

Mendy is currently with the French national team at Clairefontaine, and he played for 20 minutes during their friendly against Bolivia on Sunday. He made his senior debut for Didier Deschamps' side last November.

Mendy will not be officially presented as a Real Madrid player until he finishes international duty. France still have to play away matches at Turkey on June 8 and Andorra on June 11.
