Manchester United and Real Madrid are at deadlock over the price of Paul Pogba.

An asking price of £150million has been set by United, despite the Frenchman flopping since his record signing three years ago.

The Mirror says Real's bid of £135m will fall £15m short of his price tag.

The World Cup winner, on a contract to 2021 with the option of a further year, still retains plenty of value - especially with Madrid so keen.

As such, the Red Devils are reportedly happy to stand firm and demand Zinedine Zidane's ambition is matched with a sufficient proposal.

Serie A champions Juventus cannot be forgotten from this battle of wits with reports in Italy placing them in a strong position to buy back their former star.
